Insight
Revelation...not just the book, but the concept of getting true Biblical insight, is not neutral. To see it, receive it, taste it, and then ignore it costs... Everyone gets what they want. If you want to be numb to truth, what you get is more numb:
2 Thessalonians 2:11And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
James 1:22But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
25But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
If you can't move forward now, when it is easy, you will fall away when trouble comes. Roots grow day by day, but get tested on one day:
Luke 8:13“But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.
2 Thessalonians 2:1Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
2not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christfn had come.
3Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sinfn is revealed, the son of perdition,
Because end time information is "bridal" in nature, where most people encounter resistance is in their family/marriage relationships. To reject Bridal truth is to reject information that truly makes marriages and families strong. Satan attacks marriages and families as wholehearted desire for Jesus ' return grows in one spouse or parent. Stay with it. Satan is attacking because he is afraid of how strong this information makes marriages.
Sam and I encountered this trouble and pressed through it. Our marriage is not damaged by focusing on Jesus' return, though it was tested...instead, it is much more strong. We are running for the same goal...
I have seen this over and over. Want a good marriage? Get interested in the most important wedding, and the little troubles will fade away in your own marriage if you stick with it. If you get excited about Jesus' return, encounter trouble, and quit participating in the wedding of the Lamb, what naturally suffers is your marriage. You are rejecting wedding info.
It is easy to reverse this....just sign back up and start pressing into the wedding again. God never quits on us...Satan tries to get us to quit God.
Run to God and not from Him when you see that you missed it. This is what grace is for.
Your marriage to your spouse and your soon coming uniting with Jesus are DIRECTLY related to each other:
Ephesians 5:22Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
24Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
26that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
27that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
28So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
29For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
30For we are members of His body,f) of His flesh and of His bones.
31“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
32This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
