Unity BY Division – Jesus’ Offensive Plan
Full Definition of SANCTIFY (Merriam Webster)
1: to set apart to a sacred purpose or to religious use : CONSECRATE
2: to free from sin : PURIFY
3a : to impart or impute sacredness, inviolability, or respect to
b : to give moral or social sanction to
4: to make productive of holiness or piety <observe the day of the sabbath, to sanctify it — Deuteronomy 5:12(Douay Version)>
Sanctification is a key to understand in the end times. Once you understand what Jesus is doing, then you can watch for it, and grow in confidence that you are in the right place, you can pray for it and do your part in bringing the thing to pass, and you can be ready for it…believe me…it is intense and requires preparation.
The hour we live in is ALL about sanctification. Jesus laid this out for His disciples when He gave them the Spiritual chronology of the end time plan as He was praying for them to actually accomplish the plan.
John 17 and the Olivet Discourse are describing the same events from two different perspectives, one practical and earthly, and the other in the supernatural realm of the Spirit....they are both describing the physical events merging with the supernatural maturing of the end time church as a ready Bride.
The Olivet Discourse…the fancy term for the end time instruction Jesus gave to His disciples on the Mount of Olives (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21)…laid out the practical…the physical events that would occur in the lives of the disciples in the last 7 years of history leading up to Jesus return. At the last supper prayer of Jesus…God talking to God..as recorded in John 17, Jesus laid out the SPIRITUAL EVENTS that would occur in the end times. These spiritual events began in the upper room in Acts 2, when the field was planted, but they mature in our generation, when that field that was planted 2,000 years ago is now ready to be harvested.
Matthew 13:36-43 Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said, "Please explain to us the story of the weeds in the field." (37) Jesus replied, "The Son of Man is the farmer who plants the good seed. (38) The field is the world, and the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one. (39) The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the devil. The harvest is the end of the world, and the harvesters are the angels. (40) "Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world. (41) The Son of Man will send His angels, and they will remove from His Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. (42) And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (43) Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father's Kingdom. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!
We need to understand the harvest plans (Mathew 24, which I talk about often) to understand the time we are in, and we need to understand the crop (John 17, which I am talking about right now). So, what are the Spiritual events that will mature in full in the last 7 years?
1. Sanctification, being set apart, by loyalty to Jesus in keeping the Word in a very politically incorrect way
2. Unity of a pure group of Jesus followers in geographic locations as they unite in common fundamental loyalty to Jesus and His WORD…all of it, including Revelation and the events described in it, called the Tribulation.
3. Sanctification producing hate in the world towards the believers that are growing in purity and spotlessness BECAUSE they agree with Jesus about His plan.
4. Glory ( the light of Jesus’ countenance) being released to the believers committed to growing in purity and spotlessness AS they become more and more sanctified, growing in brightness until the believers in the “pure locations” literally begin looking like Jesus…doing the “greater things.” These locations are called by teachers in our generation “Cities of Refuge”, “Mountains of God,” “Tabernacle Cities”..these locations have many names, but they all refer to the geographic areas where the people of God have decided to unify around fierce loyalty to Jesus. Psalm 72 calls them “mountains.”
Psalms 72:3-5 The mountains will bring peace to the people, And the little hills, by righteousness. (4) He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor. (5) They shall fear You As long as the sun and moon endure, Throughout all generations.
THE “Mountain of God” is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where night and day prayer to music is supposed to occur by God’s plan given to David, BUT “mountains” (plural) refers to the other locations all over the world that will do night and day prayer, be filled with glory, open heaven in advance of the return of Jesus, and be a safe place for those brought into the kingdom in the great harvest to dwell while tribulation judgments are touching the rest of the earth, called the “desolate places”…namely the big cities of the earth. The big cities of the earth that do not repent are literally marked for judgment:
Revelation 16:18-20 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. (19) Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. (20) Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
5. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord being saved because of the physical demonstration of what the true followers of Jesus look like, act like, and believe, compared to what the people in the “desolate places” look like, act like, and believe.
6. Once the people of the earth that want to be sanctified have come into this reality, Jesus will return to a “throne” prepared in the night and day prayers of His people in these locations. These geographic locations will literally be open heavens that are tearing the veil between heaven and earth in ADVANCE of Jesus’ return. He said He will return to night and day prayers:
Luke 18:7-8 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? (8) I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"
Jesus lays out this whole plan for the chronological spiritual events as He is praying in John 17:
John 17:9-26 "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. (10) And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. (11) Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. (12) While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. (13) But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. (14) I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. (15) I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. (16) They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. (17) Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. (18) As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. (19) And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. (20) "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; (21) that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. (22) And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: (23) I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. (24) "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. (25) O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. (26) And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
This is all about the harvest. When you plant a crop, that same crop grows throughout the growing season until it is mature and ready to be harvested. If you plant corn, you will harvest corn. Plant beans, and you will harvest beans. So what DID Jesus plant, if He is the sower in the parable of the wheat and tares?
Jesus planted this crop in the Acts 2 upper room. The Holy Spirit came and watered the seed at Pentecost, and then the crop began growing. The “first fruits” of the crop were:
1. Loyalty to the Word, as the believers stayed steady during persecution from the religious leaders AND government of their day
2. Unity of the people in one geographic location,
3. the signs and wonders that followed them, and
4. the believers that were brought in.
We can read about all of this in the Book of Acts. Acts 5 is the best picture of the first generation of the Bride, and it tells u a bunch about what the end time Bride will look like in geographic locations all over the earth.
Look at what it says just after one of the greatest "heavenly agreements" (God displaying His power in an intense way) of “unity by division”… the death of Ananias and Sapphira because they violated the purity of the believers in Jerusalem:
Acts 5:11-15 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things. (12) And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch. (13) Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. (14) And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, (15) so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.
If you want to understand where the true Church is heading in this hour, study Acts 1 through 5. What started in Jerusalem is going to the ends of the earth the EXACT same way. That is what Jesus told His disciples in numerous places in the Bible:
Luke 24:46-49 Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, (47) and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (48) And you are witnesses of these things. (49) Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."
This is what sanctification, the intended “setting apart” of Jesus’ Bride, is all about. This is offensive to many Christians, especially church leaders who value a lot of people agreeing with them so that they can keep their congregations strong and their job secure. Watering down the gospel to "free forgiveness" without any of the "cost counting" has built many large churches in our generation. BUT, this lesser gospel will not last through the trouble.
We need to guard our hearts against political correctness and “unity at any cost.” Man-based unity will cost you loyalty to Jesus. Jesus-based unity will cost you loyalty to man. You have to pick which one you believe is right. This is the decision all the earth is being forced into BY the Tribulation which has already started touching our brothers and sisters in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Nigeria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, and many other locations in the middle east, Asia, and North Korea. In fact the only place Tribulation hasn’t touched yet is Europe and the Americas…it IS coming though.
Understanding the spiritual events that are promised by Jesus to occur, then agreeing with the wisdom in Jesus’ plan, is what will produce safe zones in the geographic places Tribulation touches.
Satan is fiercely warring against the plan to make places safe! Many are preaching against holiness, purity, sanctification, and night and day prayer. These are the VERY THINGS that are prescribed in the Bible to make you safe if you will do them NOW, while there is time!
There is a false unity movement based on people of God “quieting down” about the offensive and divisive things the Bible says about our day. This is counter to true unity, which makes Jesus and His word the center…faith that seeks the kingdom first and lets the rest be added. False unity breaks the bonds of loyalty to Jesus and ALL of His word, and waters it down so people can agree with each other about God. This is evil. It violates the divine order of unity which is this:
1. Love God with all your mind, heart, soul, and strength
And THEN #2
2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself (unity)
Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" (37) Jesus said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like it: 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' (40) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
The order of these two commandments is REALLY important. If you put the second command before the first, what you get is false…HARLOT…man-based…unity. Jesus is not ok with that. #2 FLOWS from #1 because God is the source of love. If you try to make #1 flow from #2, you are violating the truth about love…you are loving outside of a covenant relationship to the groom, Jesus…that is what a harlot does. That is what THE Harlot…the Harlot Babylon does. Her love looks really good from the outside, but it is truly filth and abomination inside:
Revelation 17:4-5 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. (5) And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Loyalty to Jesus is costly. It costs many relationships with other people who want to water down loyalty to Jesus to maintain unity in the logic of mankind. People striving for manbased unity accuse those loyal to Jesus as being “divisive!” But, according to the Bible the OPPOSITE is true. Watering down and quieting down truth in order to keep people in unity is evil. Jesus came to divide and purify:
Luke 12:49-57 "I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! (50) But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! (51) Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. (52) For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. (53) Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." (54) Then He also said to the multitudes, "Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, 'A shower is coming'; and so it is. (55) And when you see the south wind blow, you say, 'There will be hot weather'; and there is. (56) Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? (57) "Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?
Agreeing with Jesus’ plans, as offensive as they might be, is what will make you, your family, your church, and your city safe from the wave of terror that is clearly coming here. When you see the enemy armies…the end time revived Ottoman Caliphate touching “Smyrna”, the part of the Bride that was already under persecution, you need to set yourself apart NOW, while there is time:
Joel 2:11-20 The LORD is at the head of the column. He leads them with a shout. This is His mighty army, and they follow His orders. The day of the LORD is an awesome, terrible thing. Who can possibly survive? (12) That is why the LORD says, "Turn to Me now, while there is time. Give Me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. (13) Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead." Return to the LORD your God, for He is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. (14) Who knows? Perhaps He will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse. Perhaps you will be able to offer grain and wine to the LORD your God as before. (15) Blow the ram's horn in Jerusalem! Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. (16) Gather all the people—the elders, the children, and even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her private room. (17) Let the priests, who minister in the LORD's presence, stand and weep between the entry room to the Temple and the altar. Let them pray, "Spare Your people, LORD! Don't let Your special possession become an object of mockery. Don't let them become a joke for unbelieving foreigners who say, 'Has the God of Israel left them?'" Satan is fiercely warring against the plan to make places safe! Many are preaching against holiness, purity, sanctification, and night and day prayer. These are the VERY THINGS that are prescribed in the Bible to make you safe if you will do them NOW, while there is time!
There is a false unity movement based on people of God “quieting down” about the offensive and divisive things the Bible says about our day. This is counter to true unity, which makes Jesus and His word the center…faith that seeks the kingdom first and lets the rest be added. False unity breaks the bonds of loyalty to Jesus and ALL of His word, and waters it down so people can agree with each other about God. This is evil. It violates the divine order of unity which is this:
1. Love God with all your mind, heart, soul, and strength
And THEN #2
2. Love your neighbor as you love yourself (unity)
Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" (37) Jesus said to him, 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' (38) This is the first and great commandment. (39) And the second is like it: 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' (40) On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
The order of these two commandments is REALLY important. If you put the second command before the first, what you get is false…HARLOT…man-based…unity. Jesus is not ok with that. #2 FLOWS from #1 because God is the source of love. If you try to make #1 flow from #2, you are violating the truth about love…you are loving outside of a covenant relationship to the groom, Jesus…that is what a harlot does. That is what THE Harlot…the Harlot Babylon does. Her love looks really good from the outside, but it is truly filth and abomination inside:
Revelation 17:4-5 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. (5) And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Loyalty to Jesus is costly. It costs many relationships with other people who want to water down loyalty to Jesus to maintain unity in the logic of mankind. People striving for manbased unity accuse those loyal to Jesus as being “divisive!” But, according to the Bible the OPPOSITE is true. Watering down and quieting down truth in order to keep people in unity is evil. Jesus came to divide and purify:
Luke 12:49-57 "I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! (50) But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! (51) Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. (52) For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. (53) Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." (54) Then He also said to the multitudes, "Whenever you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, 'A shower is coming'; and so it is. (55) And when you see the south wind blow, you say, 'There will be hot weather'; and there is. (56) Hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? (57) "Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?
Agreeing with Jesus’ plans, as offensive as they might be, is what will make you, your family, your church, and your city safe from the wave of terror that is clearly coming here. When you see the enemy armies…the end time revived Ottoman Caliphate touching “Smyrna”, the part of the Bride that was already under persecution, you need to set yourself apart NOW, while there is time:
Joel 2:11-20 The LORD is at the head of the column. He leads them with a shout. This is His mighty army, and they follow His orders. The day of the LORD is an awesome, terrible thing. Who can possibly survive? (12) That is why the LORD says, "Turn to Me now, while there is time. Give Me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. (13) Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead." Return to the LORD your God, for He is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. (14) Who knows? Perhaps He will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse. Perhaps you will be able to offer grain and wine to the LORD your God as before. (15) Blow the ram's horn in Jerusalem! Announce a time of fasting; call the people together for a solemn meeting. (16) Gather all the people—the elders, the children, and even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her private room. (17) Let the priests, who minister in the LORD's presence, stand and weep between the entry room to the Temple and the altar. Let them pray, "Spare Your people, LORD! Don't let Your special possession become an object of mockery. Don't let them become a joke for unbelieving foreigners who say, 'Has the God of Israel left them?'" (18) Then the LORD will pity His people and jealously guard the honor of His land. (19) The LORD will reply, "Look! I am sending you grain and new wine and olive oil, enough to satisfy your needs. You will no longer be an object of mockery among the surrounding nations. (20) I will drive away these armies from the north. I will send them into the parched wastelands. Those in the front will be driven into the Dead Sea, and those at the rear into the Mediterranean. The stench of their rotting bodies will rise over the land." Surely the LORD has done great things!
