Shortcuts
There is no shortcut to a life of faith, which is required to please God.
Hebrews 11:6But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Faith takes patience, and patience takes faith. We can ask God for both, and we must. This is the victory of the saints in the last days: patience in the face of great tribulation and faith in the face of great fear.
Revelation 13:7It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation.
8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Right now the world is embracing impatience. As trouble grows the natural reaction is to "do something."
The "something" believers are supposed to do is learn patience and faith. Our rescue is coming, but the temptation will be to act impatiently, before He does:
Matthew 24:22“And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
23“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.
24“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25“See, I have told you beforehand.
26“Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.
27“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
"The Christ" literally means the "anointed one." False prophets tout false anointed ones. False teachers lay out unbiblical arguments for supporting alternative anointings to the anointing of Jesus Christ, which is the anointing to lay down one's life in the power of the Holy Spirit, with patience and faith that losing one's self leadership is how we get the leadership of the Father.
The false prophets and false teachers will name Jesus, look for Jesus, and do wonders in His name. Their lack of faith and their impatience will lead them to the antichrist, delusionally thinking he is their champion and hope for a kingdom.
The patient and faithful will see through the visible attributes of leaders and observe the fruit of the Spirit, or the absence of that fruit. Patience and faithfulness are both fruits of the Spirit.
Patience and faith are the two most important qualities to learn in this moment of time. Believe in the rescue that is clearly coming and wait upon Him.
Luke 21:16“You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
17“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.
18“But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
19“By your patience possess your souls.
20“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
21“Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
22“For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
Psalm 37:1A Psalm of David.
Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the LORD,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
Many believers are falling into impatience, anger, and dehumanizing those they disagree with, giving them political identities rather than human ones. God loves people...all of them. If you sneer at liberals or mock conservatives, you aren't following Jesus. A political point isn't worth your salvation...and it just might keep someone else from seeing the light of their own salvation.
Matthew 16:25“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
26“For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
27“For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
I'm afraid many are forfeiting decades of works for a moment of impatience at just the wrong time.
