Secret Choices

Psalm 37:18 The Lord knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. 19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

The Lord knows my days! That means every secret choice I am faced with, He knows what I choose. Every choice I make for obedience that I think no one is watching, it is being observed by the One who’s opinion really matters. He wants me to choose righteousness now, because the intensity to choose evil is increasing. It is only getting harder to choose righteousness, and He knows building a secret history with Him of success will keep me close to Him!

The secret choices I make are more powerful than the ones in full view of the world. It is easier to have integrity when everyone can see me...but when no one knows, my choice for integrity MOVES God's heart even more! He delights in our choices when He is our only motivation.

If you have kids, you know what I mean. When you overhear them choosing or speaking good, and they don't know you are there...oh, the delight you feel knowing they aren't putting on a show, saying the things they think you want to hear! To see that your own kid's heart is good when they think no one is paying attention...few things match that delight! You delight in that because you know they, and the people around them, will benefit from their good choices the rest of their lives.

God wants me to be confident that my secret choices to agree with Him matter...even more than the ones made in front of people. If I make secret choices for righteousness, chances are my public choices are for righteousness, too!

Revelation 22:12 "Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds.

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. In the end, everyone is going to get what they want.  This is the beauty and tragedy of being loved by an eternal Father.  Love requires free will.  Free will means I get the freedom to have my own will.  Everyone will get their will empowered in the end.  For the same love that gives everyone what they want, there is a delay in the giving over to desire.  God gives us time to change our mind that we could learn to want what He wants for us....that our will could be conformed to His. Sanctified? Spared?

I believe in a safe place in the judgment unfolding. Though it is largely rejected, it isn't too late.  A sanctified people in a consecrated place can turn back the tide of trouble for their land if they are willing to humble themselves and submit to the clear instructions of the Lord. Only a sanctified people can do this. God doesn't care about the quality of the music or the articulation of the words of the prayers, or the appearance of the sanctuary....it is the cleanliness of heart and the willingness to stand with Him in His righteous judgments....to attribute to Him the truth: that He is the one behind the trouble, and that because He is allowing it, even raising it up, it is good. Tent of Meeting and the Tabernacle of Moses

The Tent of Meeting Moses set up outside the camp was a precursor to the Tabernacle of Testimony that would follow it. Rebellion of God's people brought about the Tabernacle of Meeting, or the temporary tent Moses erected to stay near God himself, until the rebellion was dealt with. When Moses first went up on Mt. Sinai, God showed him to build the Tabernacle of Testimony. The instructions God gave Moses were for a public meeting place. When Moses came down from Mt.
