Balance
God is the life source of all creation. The sun is a dim alternative to the bright life-giving light of God. Drawing near to Him is drawing near to more life.
There is a lie in the world that "balance" will make your life better. This is a straight up deception meant to keep you from life. Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy...Jesus came for the exact opposite purpose:
John 10:10 NKJV
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
People don't burn out from too much of the source of life...people burn out from trying to live two lives...one in the world and one in God. This is unsustainable. The lie is "I need a break from chasing after God. I need some me time." The truth is chasing after God is the best me time you can have to get refreshed.
God isn't looking for us to build something in His name. THAT will wear you out. God isn't looking for people to carry the weight only He can carry. That will wear you out.
God is looking for people who refuse to believe the lie that life can be found anywhere but right next to Him. God is looking for people to demonstrate that reading about Him, talking and listening to Him, and using all your strength to live like Him is true abundant life. Those are the ones who have all they need, and more...
Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
This is a spiritually violent way to live. It is disruptive to what the world, and a lot of the Church, actually believes...but the violent will take the Spiritual kingdoms of the earth by force...first in the unseen realm of their heart...then growing outward: their families, their churches, their cities, then all of creation....
Matthew 11:7-13 NKJV
As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’ “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
John lived unbalanced. John's "all-in" living opened a gate that Jesus came in through and brought His Bride through. Jesus' disciples lived unbalanced. You don't read about Jesus telling them they needed a break from Him! "I just need to chill Jesus, and spend some time entertaining the fallen thoughts of the world for a minute. That'll fill me up with life!" No!
Matthew 8:21-22 NKJV
Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Following Jesus isn't supposed to be an accessory to life...it is radically new life. a new life vision. His Bride...in one generation...the generation of Jacob...the generation that wrestles through the night to see God and obtain the blessing...spiritual violence...is going to open that gate John opened in Jerusalem, only globally, and Jesus will come in one more time...to stay!
Psalms 24:1-10 NKJV
The earth is the Lord ’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord ? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord , And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah
You don't need a break from God. You need more of a break from a dying world...life is coming back to the garden. The Spirit and the Bride say "come"...
