Laborers

It's not a wine outpouring we need, but a mighty rushing wind and the flames of fire. A wind and fire outpouring is beginning. Wind and fire is more powerful, and less comfortable than the wine...but it's what we need.

The season the Church is in is much bigger than revival...it is the restoration... Restoration is very uncomfortable. It isn't renewing the old, it is changing the old to new. This causes tribulation. It is a change of season. The harvest season is "all-in.". The weather changes, the light changes, and the intensity changes. Everything that was worked for all summer comes down to a few short weeks when that crop MUST be brought in.

If you want to be a harvest laborer, you need to agree with the harvest plans. Anything less is "lawless"

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Jesus planted a crop when He gave the great commission. He planted the seeds in the soil of the upper room. They sat and waited there... contending for the power from on high to crack open the seeds and start the growth. The first rain came on the day of Pentecost, when the crop first poked through the soil. The pattern of the crop was clearly seen: night and day prayer in one accord, sanctified, set apart from the world, power from on high...fire and wind...and then bam! Mass salvation. 3,000 in a day and back into one accord on Solomon's porch...the place of night and day prayer.

That crop first emerged in night and day contention. They sat in the soil and prayed for the first rain, and when it came, the world saw for the first time what kind of crop had been planted:

Acts 2:1-7, 14-21, 40-43 NKJV

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans?...

... But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord . And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’ ...

...And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

That was the first rain that brought the crop into sight. If corn sprouts in your field in the spring, corn is what you will harvest in the fall. You reap what you sow. This is what Jesus had sown. We can be sure this is what will be reaped.

Peter quoted Joel, and Joel was told the spring rains AND the harvest rains were both necessary to bring in the harvest. The final Pentecost is the pouring out of the Spirit on all flesh that will come with the beginning of the Great Tribulation...when the moon turns red and the sun dark, but BEFORE that, the latter rain is coming, just like the cool spring rain.

We've seen the warm summer rain of wine, but the warm rain doesn't bring in the harvest. Just like the spring rains are uncomfortable, so is the chilly fall rain. The season is different. You don't want the old season mentality in the new season reality.

We can feel the harvest upon us. A wind and fire revival is at the door. Jesus is doing a new thing. The wine won't carry you through this season...we need wind and we need fire...THAT is what will restore the zeal that has been stolen from the Bride:

Joel 2:23-25, 28 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you...

... “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.

If you want to live in true authority...as a true kingdom harvest laborer...you need to know the harvest pattern...the harvest plans. Doing your old plan is lawless when the owner of the harvest has a different plan. Many are resisting subtle correction because they have their own plans. This is the beginning of lawlessness. It simply will not withstand the season.

Trying to force the old to come when the new is required results in lawlessness. Find out the plan. Something new and very uncomfortable is coming. It is at the door. The plans God makes are wise, they always succeed. This is an end time warning AND an end time promise:

Isaiah 28:21-29 The Lord will fight as he did at Mount Perazim and in the valley of Gibeon, in order to do what he intends to do — strange as his actions may seem. He will complete his work, his mysterious work. Don't laugh at the warning I am giving you! If you do, it will be even harder for you to escape. I have heard the Lord Almighty's decision to destroy the whole country. Listen to what I am saying; pay attention to what I am telling you. No farmer goes on constantly ploughing his fields and getting them ready for sowing. Once he has prepared the soil, he sows the seeds of herbs such as dill and cumin. He sows rows of wheat and barley, and at the edges of his fields he sows other grain. He knows how to do his work, because God has taught him. He never uses a heavy club to beat out dill seeds or cumin seeds; instead he uses light sticks of the proper size. He does not ruin the wheat by threshing it endlessly, and he knows how to thresh it by driving a cart over it without bruising the grains. All this wisdom comes from the Lord Almighty. The plans God makes are wise, and they always succeed!
