False Teachers and the Falling Away

Salvation is perfectly powerful to save you, but is an ongoing choice.

Once you have come to Jesus for salvation, applied the infinitely valuable sacrifice of His perfectly unjust death to pay the price for the injustice of your living apart from obedience to the author of life, and submitted yourself to the leadership of Jesus, there is nothing that can break His grip on your life:

John 10:27-30 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”

This statement Jesus made begins with His sheep CHOOSING to listen to Him and and then follow His words. Following Him is an "active" activity...step by step.

It is true, that no one could ever overpower Jesus' ability to hold me... BUT... Jesus will never violate love. I can choose to step out of His hand any time. I can deny His leadership and go another way. It is very important to have clarity on this topic. Many traditions have been introduced to the church that claim if you said the prayer, you can never be lost or fall away. This goes directly against the teaching of Jesus and the apostles.

The falling away of the end time church is a very relevant topic. You are literally witnessing the first waves of the falling away all around you right now. The falling away is the "threshing" or sifting of the church. The threshing or sifting is designed to separate out a pure Bride that will be clothed in her righteous choices:

Revelation 19:7-8 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

The Brides readiness is a cause for celebration, because it means the earth is ready for Jesus to come home!

That means God has a plan to introduce the glory of His son back into the earth to prepare the earth to receive the father's infinite brightness. Jesus is going to renew the earth over 1,000 years back into the quality of life the earth experienced in the Garden of Eden, then the Father is coming back to live on this planet...the same one we have right now:

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

The plan God has is that the reintroduction of glory back to the earth will begin with the end time church, called "the Bride." In one generation, the Body of Jesus will become pure and spotless, which will literally make the people who stay loyal to Jesus "luminous" in both heart and body (literally glowing with glory, like Moses in Exodus 34) in advance of the return of Jesus. This increasing holiness and brightness will be occurring as those who are less than loyal to Jesus are "sifted" out. That is a harvest activity called "threshing."

Before combines and tractors took in the harvest, a farmer would sift the grain from the inedible chaff by putting everything in a pile, and using a pitchfork or winnowing fork to toss everything into the air. This would usually occur on a high place where a good wind was blowing so the wind would blow the stuff not weighty enough a small distance away. The chaff was then collected and burned, and the grain was kept.

This is what Jesus came to do for every man, woman, and child on the planet: thresh the people to see who WANTED to live under God's leadership.

This is how God told John the Baptist to introduce Jesus:

Matthew 3:11-12 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Threshing or sifting is a very dominant theme in the Bible. Jesus is going to sit on David's throne. The way David did things is very important to understand. David had his own threshing story! Ornan's (Araunah's) threshing floor became the permanent location of the night and day prayer movement David started when the temple was built there:

II Samuel 24:18-25 And Gad came that day to David and said to him, “Go up, erect an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.” So David, according to the word of Gad, went up as the Lord commanded. Now Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming toward him. So Araunah went out and bowed before the king with his face to the ground. Then Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” And David said, “To buy the threshing floor from you, to build an altar to the Lord , that the plague may be withdrawn from the people.” Now Araunah said to David, “Let my lord the king take and offer up whatever seems good to him. Look, here are oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing implements and the yokes of the oxen for wood. All these, O king, Araunah has given to the king.” And Araunah said to the king, “May the Lord your God accept you.” Then the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar to the Lord , and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord heeded the prayers for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Israel.

The night and day worship of God...devotion that costs something...tearing hearts from the fallen desire to have life now, rather than contend for true life with God when He returns...to WANT His leadership and bright glory more than the lesser dimmer things man chases of his own lesser desire from a low view of life...the night and day worship offered on Araunah's threshing floor is the answer to the trouble God is orchestrating to get a response from the earth.

YOU MUST UNDERSTAND WHY TRIBULATION IS GOOD. It is necessary to understand tribulation so you don't get offended by it and quit! Tribulation is good because it is producing an end time company of people that will shine with the glory of God to make Jesus' return possible to receive. Climbing the mountain like Moses and David to tabernacle with the Lord releases glory. This will adjust the eyes of the earth to see Jesus, who will adjust the eyes of the earth to see the Father.

Jesus is too bright for the earth to see right now. His simple appearance will burn up the chaff and the unseparated wheat. Paul warned Timothy that he need to be ready in holiness and sanctification (separation) for the return of Jesus, otherwise, Jesus' brightness would harm him!

I Timothy 6:11-16 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Because God is so merciful, He has chosen a very incremental and intentional process to allow this same brightness to develop first in Jesus' Bride. BUT, the Bride will get pure and spotless partly by those who don't like the heat and pressure of staying loyal to Jesus through the trouble LEAVING Jesus' leadership. This is called falling away. Jesus was very clear that saved people who accepted the truth would fall away when trouble increased:

Matthew 13:20-21 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word.

Paul and Peter both taught that the falling away of the church had to happen before the rest of the world was sifted and before Jesus returned:

Paul:

II Thessalonians 2:2-3 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,

Peter:

I Peter 4:16-17 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Jesus warned that when tribulation began, it would first be evident in the divisions of the Church. If you look right now, you can see this all around. The Bible was clear where the division lines would fall: race, sexuality, false grace vs. holiness, false signs and wonders vs. True signs and wonders, false unity vs. true unity, and eschatology. There are tens of passages about the choices the church would divide over...marriage and veganism are just one of many:

I Timothy 4:1-3 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

You are literally witnessing the first throes of the falling away as news events... the wind of the threshing activity... force the church into stances. Ferguson, MO race troubles, Indiana laws about religious freedom... these are very prophetic events. The correct response to these events is the same as it has always been: build an altar on the threshing floor. Many are teaching otherwise. Beware.

"Building and altar on the threshing floor " means David's Tabernacle. Night and Day prayer that will tarry for the power to bring in the harvest through the wind and fire lighting the darkness is the simple plan Jesus gave called "the Great Commission."

As the wind increases, the church is feeling the tossing and MANY are missing the point and are getting sucked into false arguments that won't keep the wheat safe, save the tares, or glorify the Bride.

The leaders of churches both local and national in many cases are becoming FALSE teachers because they won't submit to the simple plan in the Bible and are lawlessly responding in their own logic. They will lead many into death and falling away. Jesus sheep are supposed to know His voice, but many believers are listening for what the guy who wrote the book, leads the big church, or is on TV has to say. This is a huge mistake at exactly the wrong time:

II Peter 2:18-21 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Peter says you are better off not being saved, than to be saved and then turn away. Group think will lead many into the falling away. What does your group think, and why? The danger is huge. Do you know what the Bible says about this?

Jesus warned believers numerous times about the dangers of not being prepared for the PROCESS of His return:

Matthew 24:8-14 All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Right now, trouble is sifting the church. This is a clear sign that tribulation has begun. You really want to get informed about the process and start participating. Many threshing floors are appearing, and they all could be turned into altars as people begin to come into the barn of night and day prayer. If you want to make it through the harvest, then agree with Jesus about how the harvest will happen and reject the false teachers offering noble sounding solutions that don't at all agree with the harvest work plan.

Amos 9:9-11 “For surely I will command, And will sift the house of Israel among all nations, As grain is sifted in a sieve; Yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground. All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword, Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’ “On that day I will raise up The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, And repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, And rebuild it as in the days of old;
