Transformational Faith
Faith transforms the dull physical world where much is impossible, and brings it into agreement with the supernatural realm of heaven, which is governed by the supernatural God who can literally do anything.
God desires to draw all of creation into His supernatural experience, but He refuses to violate the desire of mankind in order to do this. So, He is orchestrating the death of our ability to live without Him in order that we might choose to live with Him forever.
The world needs the supernatural qualities of life and power desperately...we need the supernatural qualities of life only available from a supernatural God. We need God to come home DESPERATELY, but it only works one way... there is only one thing that will transform the physical to the supernatural: faith expressed in words.
Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
There is a ton of physical transformation God desires for the earth... there is much yet undone in God's plan to make the earth ready to receive a quality of life that would kill it if it were unready at His coming...do you know that the fire of life...the light of mankind that destroys all darkness, literally will destroy darkness?! do you know how powerful and deadly His glory really is to anything unready?... unpurged of its desire for darkness... unsanctified?
Jesus will shame the sun at His appearing...for real. All of creation was made to live in a light much brighter that the sun... the glory of His presence brings supernatural life, but also is deadly to anything unready...unsanctified...un set apart in its desire to see God come home:
Isaiah 24:23 Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the Lord of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously.
When God met Moses in glory on Mt. Sinai strict instructions were given...handling God's glory is deadly to the unready. Jesus gave us grace to get as ready as we want to... to press with desire into the supernatural realm... to hear the instructions from heaven...but the glory hasn't changed one bit... God is still a consuming fire, and it still requires a response to receive Him:
Hebrews 12:18-29 For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. (For they could not endure what was commanded: “And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow.” And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, “I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.”) But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.
Perfect performance of holiness is not a requirement to receive the kingdom safely...no...that would be impossible for now. What is required is perfect desire for holiness, which requires an honest assessment of where I really am.
"I am a man of unclean lips!.."
The emergence of the glory of God brings an awareness of the lack of glory resting on me so I will make a choice: run, hide, or in faith respond in humility and allow God to touch me with that glory so that I could begin being a "'kingdom manifester."
Isaiah got THE moment, the invitation to cry out, and he humbled himself and cried out, got touched with a little chunk of glory, and began writing out a 66-chapter description of what to desire and how to express it with Words in a way that would invite God back.
Isaiah 6:4-11 And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. So I said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” And He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.” Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered: “Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate,
Do you see it? Do you see the cities on their way to being laid waste? Do you see the earth clamoring to cast off the bonds between God and man? Do you see God, in His mercy, orchestrating a cry that He might answer? Will you cry out, or will you keep trying to make do without the glory?..God's glory is the power of life that WILL transform where it is invited and prepared for in desire. It is all about desire.
Worship is the highest expression of desire. Worship is setting the gaze of our hearts on that fiery throne and crying out in advance of the pain that must come to make the earth set it's gaze and cry out. Ever ounce of true worship offered today is actually sparing the earth some ounce of pain that must come to get it to cry out "unclean lips...I have unclean lips"
I don't want to just go and fulfill some religious obligation this morning. I don't want to waste anymore of God's time or my time, or my kids time playing church. I want to be a kingdom manifester. I want to send my heart up to heaven like a bucket to get filled with the power of life and sent back down to me that I could be more empowered to call what shall be, to be, here and now...and spare some part of the world the pain of resisting the kingdom that IS coming.
Send me Lord. I will say it.
Luke 11:2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
Ezekiel 22:30-31 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God .
Revelation 8:3-6 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake. So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
The kingdom is coming this way: by desire expressed in words that will transform the earth...it is within you.
