Impatience
Impatience is not a fruit of God's presence. This is the challenge of contending for the kingdom to come: waiting for the real thing, but staying vibrant in the process of it coming.
I hear the LORD saying some have tasted a little of the coming kingdom, and are so impatient for more they will find ways to make something less seem like the kingdom coming. This is great error, for the false kingdom will come by the will of man with lying signs and wonders:
II Thessalonians 2:9-10 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
Many who name the name of Jesus will settle for eating cardboard because they are unwilling to wait for the meal to finish cooking. Impatience will lead many to fall away, though they gladly, yet shallowly, love the LORD:
Matthew 13:20-21 But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
The mark of the beast will be sold to the church through a false revival...
Revelation 13:13-17 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Patience is the antidote to the false revival. You won't have to strain to see the true revival...you won't have to fuel it with a little bit of imagination to keep it going... It will fuel you. Waiting in patience for the real one will keep you safe as you get satisfied with Jesus on the inside...seeing small measures as small...Not exaggerating, but rather celebrating the small but real miracles and releases of power. Not disbelieving the greater things, but also not giving up contending for them to happen in a way that frees people to know Jesus personally, rather than giving in to the rush of the crowds. Patience is safety in the end times:
Revelation 14:11-12 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Impatience is beginning to war against God's people...They are hungry...
They smell it in the oven, and are so hungry for what they have been asking for, they will fill their stomach with some attractive packaging....cardboard made pretty... something that can't sustain them...right at the time they will need to be sustained the most.
Everyone gets what they want. If you settle for cardboard, you won't be hungry when the meal is served, and you will run out of strength when you need it.
Wait for the real thing. The object of the end time revival is Jesus in the Garden. Your heart is a garden now...He is there now. There is always a revival possible in your heart. The kingdom is coming from THAT revival:
Luke 17:20-21 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Don't miss Jesus on the inside while contending for a revival in His name.
He is the source of, and the reward for, the revival we want. If you aren't satisfied with Him now, you won't be satisfied with even heaven opening and angels coming up and down.
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
