Increasing Holiness Leads to Increasing Vision
Increasing vision is the primary indicator of increasing holiness.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.
Having vision of what God is doing isn't Biblically reserved for conference preachers. Having vision is an expectation of everyone following Jesus. How can you follow who you can't see?
In Jesus' scathing critique of the Pharisees who rejected him, the one attribute used over and over is "blind."
Matthew 23:24 “Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
Right now, deep darkness is increasing over the world. You need eyes like fire. You need light.
You should know what Jesus is doing. You should be getting a more and more clear picture of the hastening moment of His return. What does Jesus want to do in 2020 for you, for your family, for your church, for your city, your country, and the world? These are questions every believer should be able to answer without hesitation. You don't want to solely run on the conference or internet personality's opinion, your pastor's opinion, or your friend's opinions.
If you don't know what Jesus is saying, you should be asking and growing in holiness to be able to see. If you do know, you should be sharing, which is called "peacemaking" in the Sermon on the Mount... Or "reconciliation" in other places in the Bible.
Revelation 2:18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, ‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:
19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.
20 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
21“And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
22 “Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
23 “I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
24 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.
25 “But hold fast what you have till I come.
26 “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—
27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;
They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—
as I also have received from My Father;
28 “and I will give him the morning star.
29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’
Thyatira's problem isn't her works, love, service, faith, or patience... It's her blindness. She is blindly letting a teacher lead her and her kids into judgment. She doesn't have to, though. She can repent! So can we! She can take a stand for truth. So can we!
The morning Star is Jesus...He's the light before the breaking of dawn. He is the light of mankind, in him is the life. We need light, and then we need to shine. This is every believers ministry before God:
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 “Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

These can be helpful or unhelpful, but you must have your own revelation from God of what he wants from you and what he is doing for you, that drives you to, and rewards you for, your reach for holiness.
