Faith in Jesus is not a Faith in Outcomes

The faith the Bible calls us to isn't a faith in outcomes. In fact, it flies in the face of outcomes!

The faith the Bible calls us to is a faith in the character of God and believing what He says, not what we want Him to do.

This is clear in the Bible.

God ALWAYS does what He says, often in ways we weren't expecting.

God is not obligated to do what we think is good. Making faith about God doing what we think is good is actually to make ourselves gods and God a genie.

Don't be led by Satan into condemnation for not willing things to happen. Satan 'wills' against God. Many feel unfaithful because they haven't 'willed the good thing to happen.'. This is a false condemnation. You are unfaithful if you don't believe in the goodness, kindness.... The Biblical character... of God and come to Him to abide and find out what He wants and the try to do THAT specific thing He shows you in real time. That is unfaithful.

Many times God wants to wait to do what everyone else calls good (raising Lazarus is one stark example). Being faithful is knowing that and waiting, too!

Learn faith in the goodness, timing, silence, and Word of a perfect father and more and more you will see your prayers become one with His will.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

You could read this whole chapter and see that Biblical faith isn't about God doing what you think He should, but us doing what He thinks we should because we believe He is good no matter what happens.
Prayer brings us into humble agreement with, and an awareness of our need of, what God has already decided to do...before the worlds were framed. Witchcraft tries to get God to do something he hasn't already decided to do ...

This is the faith of a man after God's own heart:

2 Samuel 12:19 When David saw that his servants were whispering, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” And they said, “He is dead.”
20 So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate.
21 Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child died, you arose and ate food.”
22 And he said, “While the child was alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who can tell whether the LORD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?’
23 “But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”
