Father and Husband

God is the Author of Life. He also calls Himself a Father, and a Husband. These two relationships are based in love. Because of love, God has fully committed to free will. I can choose to come near God, or I can choose to drift from Him. Believe Him or reject Him. Love Him or hate Him...it is up to me. Everyone gets what they want in the end.


The closer I get to the Author of Life, the more life I will experience. The further I withdraw from the Author of Life, the less life I will experience. The lie of this age is that the fullness of life is possible on my own terms. This is impossible. God Authored, and even upholds life moment by moment. Many do not believe this because of God's mercy. In His mercy, God allows the sun to continue to shine on those who have rejected that the sun is fully His:


Matthew 5:45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.


Like the immature and rebellious kid who does not appreciate all of the protection his parents have given him, mankind has never really experienced the full cost of rebellion against the Author of Life. Even the most hardened heart has not fully felt the absence of God...the absence of life.


In His mercy, God has put major limits on how much agreement He will give to outright rejection of Him. He continues to provide food, clothing, health, soundness of mind, protection from demonic and natural forces to those who walk in complete rejection of Him.


Yet God desires to allow a generation, the generation that witnesses the return of the ultimate manifestation of God's mercy, Jesus, to make one final choice for life or death. Life means living in agreement with the Author of Life. Death means living in rebellion...saying "no" to....the Author of Life. This is what the Book of Revelation describes.


Jesus has the most brilliant plan to reach the greatest number of people, at the deepest heart level, to reveal the reality of how impossible life is apart from the One who invented it. Jesus' plan allows everyone an opportunity to choose life, without ever violating their free will. Jesus will allow the whole world a choice: folIow what seems like a brilliant and "kind" man (the antichrist) in his plan to remake the world, or resist this man-based plan and trust in the invisible Jesus. Jesus' plan is brilliant, and it is accomplished in three stages:


1. Reveal the heart of man apart from God (7 seals)-as people follow the antichrist into "world peace" and "economic security", Jesus will lift His hand of restraint from this man's real desire, which is to control the world. World war, famine, and pestillence result. The world HAS seen this before in little "tastes." We remember these times by the names of the leaders God allowed, in limited ways, to get their way: Hitler, Mao, Stalin are some of these names. The result is always the same: war, famine, and widespread death.


2. Reveal the heart of satan, the originator of rebellion against life (7 trumpets)- Many will agree with God when they see the real heart of man, but many will harden their hearts. For those who continue to say "no" to the Author of Life, Jesus will allow them to taste what life under satan, the author of rebellion, is really like. Satan hates people, and Jesus releases His hand of restraint a little bit from satan's desire to afflict man. God reveals that satan has no authority over the resources that sustain life (the first four trumpets) and then God allows satan to do what he really wants to do and demons are released to torment those who have rejected God, thus choosing satan, this is allowed to continue for several months. Any who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Even this awful taste of what real rebellion results in is better than the permanent choice which is unending fire.


3. Reveal what life really is apart from the Author and Sustainer of Life (7 bowls)-some will repent when they see how much satan hates them, but many will harden their hearts. In the final warning, God withdraws His protection of life: sores break out on those in rebellion, then all the water is gone, the sun burns those not protected by God, and spiritual darkness and strong delusion are allowed to cover the land. Life quickly comes undone when God withdraws His constant protection.


These seals, trumpets, and bowls are numbered and ordered, and are progressively more intense. They are intended to allow mankind to "taste" the fruit of their decision to say "no" to God and "yes" to an attempt at life apart from God, before that choice is made permanent. God wants no one to live in His complete absence...which is the absence of life...a consuming lake of fire:


Revelation 20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.


At the same time, God will make a difference between those who have chosen life and those in rebellion, like He did in Egypt:


Exodus 8:22-23 And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land. I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be.” ’ ”


A victorious Bride, those who have chosen the invisible Jesus, will walk in great authority and anointing through all the events of the Book of Revelation. The reason God keeps His people on earth is to be a faithful witness, describing to the world what is happening and why. By the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, God will keep His people through the events of this time, not remove them from the events, this is the Church's greatest hour:


Joel 2:28-32 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord . And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls.


It is important to know Jesus' plan, because it is so intense, He said many would be offended if they didn't watch and make themselves ready:


Matthew 24:9-13 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 24:42-44 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. In the end, everyone is going to get what they want.  This is the beauty and tragedy of being loved by an eternal Father.  Love requires free will.  Free will means I get the freedom to have my own will.  Everyone will get their will empowered in the end.  For the same love that gives everyone what they want, there is a delay in the giving over to desire.  God gives us time to change our mind that we could learn to want what He wants for us....that our will could be conformed to His. Sanctified? Spared?

I believe in a safe place in the judgment unfolding. Though it is largely rejected, it isn't too late.  A sanctified people in a consecrated place can turn back the tide of trouble for their land if they are willing to humble themselves and submit to the clear instructions of the Lord. Only a sanctified people can do this. God doesn't care about the quality of the music or the articulation of the words of the prayers, or the appearance of the sanctuary....it is the cleanliness of heart and the willingness to stand with Him in His righteous judgments....to attribute to Him the truth: that He is the one behind the trouble, and that because He is allowing it, even raising it up, it is good. Tent of Meeting and the Tabernacle of Moses

The Tent of Meeting Moses set up outside the camp was a precursor to the Tabernacle of Testimony that would follow it. Rebellion of God's people brought about the Tabernacle of Meeting, or the temporary tent Moses erected to stay near God himself, until the rebellion was dealt with. When Moses first went up on Mt. Sinai, God showed him to build the Tabernacle of Testimony. The instructions God gave Moses were for a public meeting place. When Moses came down from Mt. Sinai he found Israel, the people God had offered the Tabernacle to, worshiping the Golden Calf Aaron had made. God told Moses He would no longer go with Israel.
