Two Armies

The news of this week is full of amazing information. Events in the middle east are moving so quickly, yet many people do not recognize that the stage is being set for the assembling of the most dramatic two coalitions of nations described in the Book of Daniel as the precursor to the antichrist empire.


Daniel is one of the most accurate foretelling books known to mankind. In fact, its incredible accuracy led most Biblical critics to dismiss it until 1948. The prophecies in Daniel regarding Babylon, Persia, Greece, the appearance and order to crucify Jesus (to the day!), and the subsequent destruction of Jerusalem were SO accurate, Bible critics said there was no way it could have been written in advance. Then in 1948, when the Dead Sea scrolls were found, definitive evidence was available to demonstrate Daniel was written before these events took place.


Daniel 11:36-45 is an amazing pretelling of soon to come military movements involving the antichrist, and two coalitions of nations associated with Him, one temporarily for him, and one against.


The first, a coalition of 10 Arab nations that initially align with, and then turn on, the antichrist. Chief among them are Syria, Jordan, and Egypt.


The other a coalition of nations that will initially oppose antichrist include Iran, Russia, Libya, and Sudan (formerly the north portion of ancient Ethiopia). This coalition of nations opposes the antichrist's attempt at re-making the world according to his socialist and humanistic vision.


The Bible says that at the beginning of the last 7 years of world history leading up to the return of Jesus, the antichrist, with the agreement of a coalition of 10 arab nations surrounding Israel, will broker a 7-year peace agreement between Israel and her neighbors. The agreement will be based on the premise that Israel is unwilling to make peace without the promise of protection from the antichrist and His dominant world superpower (the end time "Babylon" described in Revelation 17 and 18, and Isaiah 47). Antichrist, appearing to be a friend of Israel, who he really wants to dominate, promises to protect Israel like his own land.


Three and a half years into the peace deal, Syria (the king of the north) and Egypt (the king of the south), get tired of the antichrist, even though they have helped bring him into a position of power. They never really liked him, but thought he was good for their interests. The feeling is mutual, since he never liked them either, and was using them, too. Syria and Egypt attack antichrist at the same time, from the north and the south, by attacking his interest in the middle east, Israel. When antichrist, who lives outside of the middle east, hears he is being attacked via an attack on Israel, he sees his chance to get what He wants: Israel. In response, antichrist first invades Syria and defeats them, then he passes through Israel into Egypt, and defeats Egypt. Libya and Sudan, members of the opposing, but equally evil coalition, come against antichrist.


At the same time, Russia and Iran see their big chance to take over the middle east and wipe out antichrist in one fall swoop. This news from the "north and east"..that these large armies are attacking... frightens antichrist, and he goes into Jerusalem to defend his position of ruling over the holy land.


Then the battle takes the most unexpected turn: God Himself destroys the armies of Gog (the north and east coalition aligned with Libya and Sudan). The whole world sees it, but antichrist, overcome with arrogance, claims that he is the one who supernaturally defeats Gog's army. Antichrist then sets up a statue of himself in the new temple in Jerusalem, and demands to be worshiped.


This is the end time story of the antichrist, the man much of the world believes to be some kind of messiah, revealing himself as a power hungry world leader laid out in Daniel 9:27, 11:39-45, and Ezekiel 38 and 39, and confirmed by Jesus in Matthew 24:15-21, which I will post below.


Right now, the stage is being set for this exact battle sequence. In the news this week:


A Russia and Iran-based coalition of nations (along with Hezbolla) are facing off against US and western-backed syrian rebels for control of Syria.


Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and a host of other Muslim Brotherhood nations, backed with arms from the west, are bent on regime change in Syria and the US congress has just passed a bill to arm the Muslim Brotherhood backed rebels.


Libya, recently "freed" from Ghadaffi by the US, is in a power struggle between Al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood elements.


Egypt, recently "freed" from Mubarak, and then turned over to a Muslim Brotherhood led government which is strongly supported by the US, is temporarily aligned with western partners, whose way of life it expressly opposes...(bipolar, to say the least).


Israel is more primed for peace right now than she has been in the last 40 years, due to intense events surrounding the Arab Spring (which the Muslim Brotherhood has used to consolidate control in several nations) and saber rattling from Iran. The US is now offering economic incentives to Palestine to come to the table...negotiations are getting heavier than they have in years.


The coalitions are forming right now, as we speak. Unlikely partners are aligning for selfish reasons in a mixture of Iron (muslim extremist ideologies) and clay (socialist left ideologies) that is unprecedented. Now is the time for those with eyes to see, and those with ears to hear!

Daniel 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”


Daniel 11:39-45 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through. He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon. He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels. But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many. And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.


Ezekiel 38:2-5, 7-9, 18, 21-23 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God : Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them. After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.” “And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” says the Lord God , “ that My fury will show in My face. I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,” says the Lord God . “Every man’s sword will be against his brother. And I will bring him to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord .” ’

Matthew 24:15-22 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
