Atmosphere
You take in whatever atmosphere you place yourself in, and you exhale that same atmosphere wherever else you go.
I breathe out whatever I breathe in.
When a little kid wants to exhale helium so they can talk funny for a second, they have to inhale helium first. You don't take in oxygen and expect to exhale helium! It takes breathing in a different kind of air to breathe out something new.
I have been waking up in the morning to dreams about God for the last several weeks. The enemy came along this am to accuse and minimize the experience, as if it was a figment of my imagination. He said "you dream about God all the time because He is all you ever think about. What else would you dream about?!" It was as if to say the dreams aren't a gift written by God on my imagination. But then Jesus said "yes! You are immersing yourself in me. You breathe out whatever you breathe in!"
I don't want to dream my old dreams, fueled by what I used to breathe in. I want the new dreams...I want to write more of God's words on my heart. I want more of His images on the movie screen of my mind. I want to be in an atmosphere saturated with the Spirit of God more. I can go where I wish:
Psalm 31:7-8 I will be glad and rejoice because of your constant love. You see my suffering; you know my trouble. You have not let my enemies capture me; you have given me freedom to go where I wish.
It isn't just breath. It isn't just about the atmosphere I place myself in, It is about the basics of life. I am also what I eat and drink. I am alive and progressing day after day. Everyone is progressing in some direction with each new day they are alive. I will progress in the strength of whatever I fuel my being with!
I want to move forward from here by eating more and more of the Word, drinking more and more of the Spirit, and breathing more and more of the air near God's throne. I want to exhale more of His presence into my atmosphere by breathing more of His atmosphere. Breathing His air brings life abundantly!
Psalm 107:9 He satisfies those who are thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
John 4:32-36 But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
Job 27:3-4 As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils, My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.
I breathe out whatever I breathe in.
