Wheat and Tares Part 2

Notice three things from the parable:

1. God is not going to remove the wheat from the earth. He is going to remove the tares. This rock...earth...is what God created to live with us on. That is what He called "very good" in Genesis 1:31: mankind face to face with God on EARTH. God is going to get what He wants...and He called this earth "very good." He isn't going to rescue us from His own very good garden. No! He is going to restore this place back to very good. To do that, He is going to let everyone who wants to try life apart from him have a go at it. That means those who don't want His leadership are going where He isn't...which is the lake of fire.

2. The tares are gathered up first. If you believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, you believe the wheat is gathered first and hauled off to some foreign place...this is not what Jesus described spiritually or physically...the wheat is stayin'...this is our home forever. God has not given up on earth. He is going to renovate it, not annihilate it. Just like you are a new creation and the old has passed away...the earth will be the same...a new earth means "renovated", just like me and you. When you became a new creation, you weren't annihilated....the unrighteousnes within you was. Your resurrected Body will be a glorified "you"...you are never going to die. The earth will experience the same resurrection. This is clear in the Bible in more than 10 places.

Genesis 13:15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.

Psalms 37:29 The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever.

Psalms 78:69 And He built His sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which He has established forever.

3. A field with weeds in it is the picture Jesus painted. That means that throughout the whole world will be wheat and tares...living in close proximity to eachother. Believing an entire nation is going to experience revival before the return of Jesus disagrees with the Bible in several places, but the most clear I have found is in Isaiah 24, which clearly tells us what will happen when judgment comes to every nation of the earth:

Isaiah 24:1-13 Look! The Lord is about to destroy the earth and make it a vast wasteland. He devastates the surface of the earth and scatters the people. Priests and laypeople, servants and masters, maids and mistresses, buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, bankers and debtors—none will be spared. The earth will be completely emptied and looted. The Lord has spoken! The earth mourns and dries up, and the crops waste away and wither. Even the greatest people on earth waste away. The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws, and broken his everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin. They are destroyed by fire, and only a few are left alive. The grapevines waste away, and there is no new wine. All the merrymakers sigh and mourn. The cheerful sound of tambourines is stilled; the happy cries of celebration are heard no more. The melodious chords of the harp are silent. Gone are the joys of wine and song; alcoholic drink turns bitter in the mouth. The city writhes in chaos; every home is locked to keep out intruders. Mobs gather in the streets, crying out for wine. Joy has turned to gloom. Gladness has been banished from the land. The city is left in ruins, its gates battered down. Throughout the earth the story is the same— only a remnant is left, like the stray olives left on the tree or the few grapes left on the vine after harvest.

At the same time, the wheat is singing. This is, again, a direct reference to what saves the wheat: night and day worship. KHOP will make SW Michigan different from the areas in rebellion or disregard for God:

Isaiah 24:14-15 But all who are left shout and sing for joy. Those in the west praise the Lord ’s majesty. In eastern lands, give glory to the Lord . In the lands beyond the sea, praise the name of the Lord , the God of Israel.

Again, the singing is in the east and the west...it is global. Side by side, just like weeds next to wheat in a field. The last verse agrees with the rest of the Bible...these two things will happen at the same time. The wheat and tares mature together:

Isaiah 24:16 We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One! But my heart is heavy with grief. Weep for me, for I wither away. Deceit still prevails, and treachery is everywhere.

This is going to be very intense. Jesus said "be ready." You get ready by building night and day prayer with other believers in your city. This is how Jesus is going to take a bunch of divided churches and assemble one Bride out of them. But, she won't just sing and pray! Those songs and prayers are going to result in her being empowered to fulfill the great commission in her land! The greatest harvest of souls occurs in the midst of all of this, not to mention the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in signs and wonders! Multiplying food, healing sick, words of direction and knowledge and wisdom! The actual healing and transformation of the land into lush green gardens in the midst of desolation...God is GOING to make difference between His people and those who refuse Him...because He loves them all.

Exodus 8:22-23 And in that day I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the Lord in the midst of the land. I will make a difference between My people and your people. Tomorrow this sign shall be.” ’ ”

Exodus 11:7 But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’
