Blood

Jesus showed me a vision during worship this am:

I was singing "we will overcome, by His blood,...by His love." He showed me drips of blood coming from His hand, and landing on the rocks and soil. It was a trail of blood. Not messy or gory, but orderly...neat. red drop after red drop. He showed me in the Spirit that the trail led to His glorious white and bright throne...blazing in constant white holiness...like lightning.

The blood speaks of His sacrifice, which purchased the throne of creation back for mankind. It reveals the path of a life laid down. The most powerful one set aside the privilege of perfect power to put on flesh, and live a life of an ordered and planned sacrifice... not for a gory and random wrath to be poured out on Him, but to fulfill the heart of the Father's plan to put mankind back in the Presence...back in the place prepared for them from the beginning...the place of glory.

The sacrifice Jesus left drip by drip was a Way...a Narrow Road...to be followed. To walk in the steps He walked in is a path that overcomes like He overcomes...not in our own power, but in the power of the blood that marks the way...slowly dying to self in the grace of the blood...drip by drip...choice by choice.

I hear the Lord saying there are many paths one might choose...but one is marked...one is laid out. The prepared way is the path of His blood...the path of willing and joyful sacrifice...poured out for a purpose...a neat and orderly design to draw all who would follow to the seat of glory...to the One who has already done what He is calling us to do in His power...the power of the Blood.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Matthew 5:19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Revelation 3:21-22 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
