God's Plan For Very Good

God has a plan so amazing in store for the earth, I think we could hardly imagine it if we spent all of our time trying. His Word is full of details about this wonderful and fascinating plan. The enemy is working overtime right now to keep the world entertained...but God desires that we would be fascinated...not merely entertained. The pleasures God desires for people are always the SUPERIOR pleasures. The problem with seeing the superiority of the hidden pleasures is that they span the divide between the physical and the supernatural spiritual realm.

It takes a lot of mental energy to place our hearts in the supernatural realm. Before the fall, before Adam and Eve rebelled against God's leadership by eating from the one tree of rebellion in the garden, the supernatural realm was openly manifest. God's bright consuming transcendant Holiness is blazing in this realm...when Adam and Eve were created, they were created with an infinite capacity to encounter an infinitely powerful God and the all the bright blazing glory that comes with Him. He walked and talked with His beloved family face to face. After the fall...Adam and Eve became "less than" infinite in their physical ability to encounter God, and a veil was erected by God between the two realms...for love.

Exodus 33:19-20 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”

God's blazing holiness was now too dangerous for anything less than infinite in capacity to encounter Him. Anything less than infinite is infinitely less. The promise we have is that someday, we will be given new bodies capable of being in front of the Father again!

I Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.

God made mankind to be with Him...partnering in His purpose for creation, face to face. This is what God called "very good" at the time of creation: mankind extending God's government over creation fascinated in partnership with God. When Adam prayed, He saw heaven move immediately at the sound of his voice. "Father, I desire"....and the Spirit moved in agreement. Mankind was actually wired to worship the most amazing thing we see. Before the veil was erected, Adam and Eve freely and fully worshiped God, the most amazing well of infinite transcedant beauty that could ever be. Since the fall, man has to work at not worshiping shoes, and rocks, houses, and eachother, and focusing on the unseen God. For love, the One we were wired to be fascinated by...the One who loves us most...who desires to be with us...has hidden himself behind a veil.

Death removes the veil. When Jesus died, He paid the price for sin...for the fall...and the veil in the temple was torn. This veil was an earthly representation of the real veil that separates the physical realm from the supernatural spirit realm. As a "taste" of what is to come, the veil in the spirit was opened for a moment, and spirits came out of graves on their way to the spiritual paradise...heaven...the temporary place where spirits dwell until God renews what He called "very good" in the garden...God with man in a physical earth open to the supernatural spiritual realm:

Matthew 27:50-53 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

There is another death coming! This one will rip open heaven for good! Heaven is coming here, when here agrees with heaven! This is what Jesus said to pray for!

Luke 11:2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

Globally, the Bride of Jesus is going to die to herself and live abundantly...She is going to take up her cross during a time of intensity...a time of great trouble....and she is going to live loyal by "dying to herself" along with the One who rips open veils!

II Corinthians 3:15-18 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is , there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Death of self is an essential requirement of this process:

Matthew 16:24-28 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

A couple of days after Jesus said these words, because they had chosen to give Him their lives, a few disciples saw heaven open...the veil was removed up on the mount a few days later...Peter was beside himself and offered to build a tent for them all and stay there forever!

Matthew 17:1-4 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

This is the promise. As the Bride pursues the death of her selfish self, and becomes more like Jesus, she will become spotless and without blemish. Her death is going to rip open the real veil...more and more...until heaven is openly manifest all around her!

I Timothy 6:11-16 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

Consecration...setting our mind intentionally on chasing Jesus...living like Him...dying like Him...this incrementally opens heaven...it brings revelation that will fascinate our minds, engage our hearts in worship, and show us the power available in agreeing with God. This is going to a whole new level until the veil is completely removed!

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

Revelation 21:2-5 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

God hasn't changed His mind about what is very good!
