Theft
God is faithful, and merciful, and just. He cares about what has been stolen from you. He is committed to see His people restored. The ultimate thief is the enemy of our souls. He has stolen what is precious to God, and what is precious to us. Know that your loss will never go unnoticed. Maybe you have been resisted today. Maybe you have been hurt by someone that was supposed to defend you. Maybe you have been overlooked or insulted. Know that every bit of your loss...whether it is physical, spiritual, or emotional...it matters to God. He has a plan to restore every stolen thing. When He led the Israelites He gave them laws after His own heart. Laws to live by that were in agreement with who He is. Exodus 22 documents how just His laws were regarding theft.
If God is this serious about material things that are temporary in every way, How much more so will He protect and defend that which is precious and eternal? Your loss, even what seems little to you, matters to God!
Exodus 22:1 "If someone steals an ox or sheep and then kills or sells it, the thief must pay back five oxen for each ox stolen, and four sheep for each sheep stolen.2 "If a thief is caught in the act of breaking into a house and is struck and killed in the process, the person who killed the thief is not guilty of murder. 3 But if it happens in daylight, the one who killed the thief is guilty of murder. "A thief who is caught must pay in full for everything he stole. If he cannot pay, he must be sold as a slave to pay for his theft.
It goes on and on in detail through the whole chapter. Our God is a God who cares....He promises to restore all things...He makes all things NEW!
